Product Development Analyst – Mobile Applications

Overview

The successful candidate will be able to produce documents and interpret engineering concepts that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders within tight time scales.

The candidate will also be assisting the web portal development team in completing its tasks on an ad-hoc basis. Knowledge of JSP, J2EE, HTML, XHTML, CSS and common graphical tools are needed. This role involves creating specification sheets, documents, and internal project management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop documentation and help develop well engineered applications that are functional, maintainable and meet the requirements defined by product management.

• Help develop business process maps for Web Based software

• Help Develop Web Portal Software flows and accompanying description documents.

• Help develop detailed functional description documents.

• Participate in ensuring on time deliverables from all related team members.

• Participate in the creation of a design specification, including data modeling and functional behavior.

• Responsible for all engineering aspects of the applications, including security, scalability, maintainability, and performance.

• Work as member of product development team to produce quality products.

• Develop, together with the graphics team, new and innovative product features.

Requirements

• A BS in Software Engineering or a relevant discipline.

• Professional experience of at least three years with two or more programming languages, at least one of which stresses object oriented design (Java, etc.)

• Knowledge In defining and understanding Implementation methods (SOAP, WSDL etc.)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Familiar with Linux and experience with open source components such as MySQL.

• Familiarity with visualization tools, (Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

• Expert in the field of word processing tools like FRAMEMAKER, WORD, EXCEL, PDF.

• Expert in utilizing specific UML tools such as (MagicDraw UML, EA and Blueprint)

• Familiarity with web standards, (HTML, XML, CSS, etc.).

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working in a small team on multiple projects.
